This ambitious project aims to establish a long-lasting collaboration network for Future Cities and Regions in Southeast Europe, centered around technological excellence, sustainability, and social impact.
The METACITIES Excellence Hub is a flagship example of place-based innovation. By bringing together academia, industry, government, and civil society under a Quadruple Helix Model, it fosters cross-sectoral collaboration and knowledge sharing across borders. The ultimate goal is to co-create scalable and sustainable solutions that transform the way cities operate and serve their citizens.
Yodiwo’s involvement in METACITIES aligns closely with its mission to deliver data-driven solutions that help organizations and municipalities transition into smarter, greener, and more human-centric environments. A central pillar of this initiative is the development of Open Digital Twin Frameworks — digital replicas of urban systems that allow stakeholders to model, simulate, and assess the impact of decisions before implementation.
